Earth pictures caught by
EOS-06 satellite launched by ISRO
Mission Targets
• To guarantee the information coherence of Sea tone and wind
vector information to support the functional applications.
• To work on the applications, some extra datasets, for
example, Ocean Surface Temperature and more number of groups in Optical locale
for brilliance and in Infrared district for environmental adjustments are obliged.
• To create/work on related calculations and information items
to serve in deep rooted application regions and to improve the mission utility.
The Indian Space Exploration Association (ISRO) has delivered the
pictures of earth caught by EOS-06 Satellite sent off by its solid send off
vehicle PSLV on November 26, 2022.
In a progression of tweets,
ISRO said NRSC/ISRO has produced worldwide Misleading Variety Composite (FCC)
mosaic from the pictures caught by theOcean Variety Screen (OCM) payload on
board EOS-06.
The mosaic with 1 km spatial goal is created by consolidating 2,939 individual pictures, in the wake of handling 300 GB information to show the Earth as seen during February 1-15, 2023.
OCM faculties the Earth in
13 particular frequencies to give data about worldwide vegetation cover Ashore
and Sea Biota for worldwide seas.
ISRO's workhorse PSLV-C54
had effectively sent off EOS-06 satellite alongside eight Nano-satellites into
two distinct SSPOs from the Satish
Dhawan Space Center SHAR
Reach, Sriharikota on November 26, 2022.
EOS-06 is third era
satellite in the Oceansat series, which offers proceeded with types of
assistance of Oceansat-2 with upgraded payload ability.
The satellite installed
conveyed four significant payloads viz. Sea Variety Screen (OCM-3), Ocean
Surface Temperature Screen (SSTM), Ku-Band Scatterometer (SCAT-3)
